WORMUTH ROCK
Mohawk indian Joseph Brant hid behind this rock in his plan to ambush
American Militia couriers to General Klock. Brant wanted to get
information on the garrison who were guarding the little settlement
at Cherry Valley
The rock sat about 50 feet from the road that Lt. Wormuth and his aide
was traveling. The edge of the canyon cut by the Tekaharawa falls laid
about 200 yards beyond the other side of the road.
